Nikos Fyodor Rutkowski collages paper patterns for clothing as formal elements in his acrylic paintings. His most recent body of work focuses on a triad of themes from the way the COVID-19 pandemic influenced still life to science–fiction and how abstract works have in these turbulent times have taken on representational compositions.

Rutkowski lives and works in Columbus, Ohio. He has been a leader in the Columbus arts community for the last decade. Rutkowski was a founding member of the Franklinton Arts District and the original organizer of Urban Scrawl. He continues to gain attention with his works in local exhibitions including the Contemporary Art Matters Inaugural Exhibition and Art For Life in 2016, 2018 and 2021. Most recently he won the  2021 Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council and had a solo exhibition Personae in 2022 at Contemporary Art Matters. He received his Bachelor in Fine Arts from The Columbus College of Art and Design.
