Heather
Jones

Heather Jones is based in South-Western Ohio. She studied art history at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning earning both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts (ABT). Her work has been exhibited widely at national and international venues including the Taft Museum of Art, Cincinnati, OH (solo), Art on Paper, New York, NY, Aqua Art Miami, Miami, FL, Marta Hewett Gallery, Cincinnati, OH, Iowa Quilt Museum, Winterset, IA; New England Quilt Museum, Lowell, MA, The University of California, Berkeley, CA, Boecker Contemporary, Heidelberg, Germany, Dr. Julius | ap, Berlin, Germany, Five Walls, Melbourne, Australia, and M17 Contemporary Art Center, Kyiv, Ukraine. Jones was an inaugural artist in residence at Kehinde Wiley’s Black Rock Senegal in 2019. She was also an artist in residence twice at Silver Art Projects Residency in New York in 2021 and again in 2022, as well as at the Cuttyhunk Island Residency in 2021 in Massachusetts. She recently returned to Black Rock Senegal for a group exhibition and has had two solo exhibitions in 2022; Storytellers at the Contemporary Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and To Hold Tender This Land at the David Richard Gallery in New York City. In 2023, “Chasing Down the Days” was acquired by the Columbus Museum of Art as a part of the Present ‘23 exhibition.
