Pamela Jorden in the Viewing Room

On View now through April 2023

Contemporary Art Matters is pleased to present an installation of recent paintings by Pamela Jorden in the viewing room. This selection of tondo paintings are part of the artist’s play on scale and saturation, exploring her brand of California abstraction. Jorden’s approach to her art is the perfect balance of casual and studied. She draws from a long history of abstract painting, with an acute attention to the qualities of light, especially as modulated through the smoggy Los Angeles sky. Her works are alive with energy, tactility, and bursts of gestural abstraction. They are on view through April, 2023.
