About our gallery
Contemporary Art Matters was founded in 2017 by Rebecca Ibel as a private gallery combined with collector services. Exhibitions of contemporary art are presented in the Factory Gallery and Viewing Room spaces with public openings. Consulting and collection management services are available for the novice and experienced collector. Ibel’s expertise comes from her extensive knowledge of local and international markets spanning more than 25 years working in the art world. She is joined by Cathy Williard, Director of Sales.
Rebecca Ibel
Cathy Williard
Cathy Jones Williard joined Rebecca Ibel as Director of Sales. Cathy also oversees our marketing team. She received a BS in French and Art History from Georgetown University and her Master’s Degree in French Studies from Middlebury College. While living in Paris, Cathy worked for the Parisian Auction House Drouot and the Musee D’Orsay.
Jenny Posten
Jenny Wilkinson Posten is Contemporary Art Matters’ Senior Registrar. Jenny received a BS in Psychology and Art History from Centre College. She spent 7 years the Columbus Museum of Art as the Assistant Registrar. Since then, she has been a registrar for several major art collectors.
Meg McTiver
Meg wears many hats as the Registrar for the gallery and several private collections, as well as, Gallery Manager. She has been with Contemporary Art Matters since 2020, gaining experience in all areas of the gallery and collection management. She received a BS from the University of Findlay. She comes with extensive management and organizational experience from her previous positions including owning and running her own equine business.
Alan Geho
Alan Geho is a third-generation professional photographer who has spent the better part of his life focusing a camera lens. Growing up as a photographer in his father’s studio, Geho eventually became its owner. He attended business classes at OSU as he continued to work for the family studio. He credits his father for both his management skills and photography knowledge. In the summer of 2006 he and his wife, Cathy, bought the historic, three-story building where the studio is now located. Geho photographs for many museums and galleries all over Ohio and surrounding states and has worked with Rebecca Ibel since 1994.
