Ann Hamilton is an internationally acclaimed installation and performance artist based in Columbus, Ohio, where she is a Distinguished University Professor in The Ohio State University Department of Art. Among her countless awards, Hamilton has been the recipient of the National Medal of the Arts, Heinz Award, NEA Visual Arts Fellowship, MacArthur Fellowship, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and the Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship. She represented the US in the 1991 Sao Paulo Biennial and the 1999 Venice Biennale, and has exhibited extensively around the world.
